Job Description

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, Part-Time. This is a floater role and work hours/locations will vary depending on coverage needs.
  • Multiple shifts available: Day Shift (6 am to 7 pm being the latest end time) /Night Shift (4 pm to 1:30 am being the latest end time)
  • Pay: $19.76/hour
  • No Designated site, this role provides coverage as needed
  • Coverage Areas: North County San Diego (i.e. Carlsbad, Fallbrook, Vista, Valley Center, Del Mar, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Santa Fe, Oceanside)

What You'll Do: As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for everyone. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. You'll also clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
  • Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Ensure dispensers are filled and monitor supplies across the facility.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
  • Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants.
  • Customer Service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members, creating a positive and welcoming environment.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols. Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable using basic cleaning tools and equipment.
