Mandatory Qualification

Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.
This position will fill a key role on priority projects in support of the New York State Office of Mental Health's mission. This position will be responsible for quality assurance activities such as building and automating test cases based on system requirements, triaging and recording defects and ensuring compliance with agency, state, and federal regulation. In addition, this position may be required to assist in development of help documents for the end user. As such, this position requires the ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non[1]technical staff.



Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:

1. Design, develop and execute the entire QA process, including documentation of test plans, test cases and test scripts for various web applications. Including testing of applications on desktop and mobile devices.

2. Test various applications both manually and using automation testing tools (such as Selenium WebDriver), performing functional, integration, regression, system, and ADA compliance (using WAVE, NVDA), performance (using LoadRunner, Silk Performer) and ad-hoc testing

3. Develop and maintain automated regression tests using Selenium WebDriver with .Net Core for multiple applications using frameworks such as Open2Test, keyword-driven on various browsers.

4. Work as part of the project team to ensure the project is meeting business and technical requirements, assist in triaging defects, and help to maintain the defect logs using TFS (Team Foundation Server)/HP Quality Center

5. Analyze business needs and create user acceptance tests and appropriate documentation.

6. Help integrate software modules into a fully functional solution and do integration testing.

Requested Qualifications:

1. 72 Months experience creating, maintaining, and running regression/automation tests with UFT (Unified Functional Testing) testing tool using Selenium WebDriver with.Net Core 2.0 or Java on various browsers; ADA compliance testing using JAWS, WAVE and NVDA; the use of performance testing tools such as LoadRunner.

2. 72 Months experience with quality assurance, usability testing and analysis, using ALM QC for managing and maintaining test cases, running tests and tracking the defects.

3. 72 months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities working directly with business analysts, business and technical subject matter experts. Experience must include use of defect management tools to identify, document, track and communicate problems to technical staff.

4. 72 Months experience creating test documents for user acceptance testing and experience in functional and UAT testing.

5. 60 Months experience working with applications that track PHI data.

6. 60 Months experience using Team Foundation Server and SharePoint

7. 60 Months experience working in an Agile development environment.
