Job Description

SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with hosts, cooks and other staff. Server Responsibilities:

• Establish a unique menu presentation for both new guests & regular guests
• Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
• Write patrons' food orders on order slips or enter orders into handhelds/terminals for transmission to kitchen staff
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions
• Understand terms of dietary needs such as Celiac, Gluten Free, Vegan, what they mean, and what food items we can offer to fulfill those needs. 
• Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
• Collect payments from tables
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
• Assist other employees with any job duties to help the restaurant run efficiency 
• Training new hires/employees new to position
• Perform assigned opening, running and closing side work to the highest standards 
• When caddies remain on the tables, refilling the sugar caddie is done by that specific server in that section. 

 

Server Requirements:

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Holidays in our business include:
• Sundays:
• Mother’s Day
• Father’s Day
• Easter
• Fourth of July 

• Lunch & Dinners:
• Christmas Eve
• New Year’s Eve

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system with few to no errors 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
