Company Overview: Our client, a leader in the waste management industry, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Route Manager to oversee the daily operations of waste collection routes. Job Summary: The Route Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing waste collection routes, ensuring that all collections are completed efficiently and safely. This role involves supervising drivers, coordinating with the operations team, and maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in logistics or waste management, and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Route Optimization: Plan, monitor, and adjust collection routes to ensure maximum efficiency and timely service delivery.
* Driver Supervision: Lead and manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure all drivers and team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions.
* Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service issues promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as route efficiency, on-time performance, and safety compliance.
* Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational challenges that arise during the collection process, including equipment malfunctions or route disruptions.
* Fleet Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all vehicles are in good working order and that any needed repairs are addressed promptly.
* Budget Management: Assist in managing operational budgets related to routes, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining service quality.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to waste collection and transportation.

Qualifications:

* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in route management, logistics, or waste management.
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, business management, or a related field is preferred.

Skills:

* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
* Proficient in route planning software and other relevant tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirements in waste management.

Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is required. CDL preferred but not mandatory.
