Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Elgin, IL

$22 – $26 per hour | Full-time & Part-time Available

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide high-quality behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. In this role, you will work closely with clients, families, and a clinical team to implement individualized behavior plans, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change in a supportive environment.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others, enjoys working one-on-one with clients, and is interested in growing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Collect and record data on client behavior, progress, and responses to interventions
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting
• Support teaching sessions focused on communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to support skill development across different settings
• Assist in the implementation and ongoing review of individualized care plans
• Help maintain a positive, structured, and supportive environment for clients

Requirements

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (Required)
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism preferred
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques
• Experience with data collection and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
