job summary:
A Production Scheduler is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Davenport, IA area. This role manages high-impact manufacturing timelines for laser and forming operations, requiring either a 4-year degree and 1+ years of experience or a high school diploma and 5+ years of experience to optimize inventory, workforce planning, and SAP/Excel data.

responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule complex, high-impact manufacturing processes for current production and service parts.
- Manage material requirements within the Production System using kanbans, triggers, and delivery schedules.
- Support scheduling specifically for laser cutting and forming operations within a fabrication environment.
- Expedite production and purchased parts to ensure the achievement of the production schedule.
- Coordinate the implementation of engineering and material changes across multiple departments.
- Analyze future production requirements and workforce planning strategies to balance machine load and labor.
- Calculate and maintain accurate kanban quantities and planning triggers.
- Audit inventory integrity and accuracy, including the reporting of production and scrap data.
Skills:
- Must be proficient with MS Office and be an intermediate user of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
Education and Experiene:
- A 4-year degree in a relevant field with 1+ years of scheduling experience.
- With a Minimum of a High school diploma/equivalent with 5+ years of scheduling experience in a production environment.
