Engineering Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $113,000 - $162,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.
• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring budget and timeline adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
• Develop and manage the engineering department budget and resource allocation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, driving project execution and technical excellence.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality management systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or product lifecycle management (PLM) software
• Prior experience leading automation or Industry 4.0 initiatives
• Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA
